Once the rain had cleared we climbed out of San Sebastian up the narrow roads of Monte Igeldo. We had the first flat of the trip (it was me, unfortunately) in Zarautz while stopping for a few minutes to put on suncream. Today was a real leg breaker and John's Strava recorded us climbing over 2500m. The reward for all that climbing was some very fun descending. The road from Ondarroa to Lekeitio has been the most fun to ride on this trip. It's rarely straight and constantly snakes up and down through the woods finishing with a lookout over the town where we stayed tonight. Our Airbnb was a great choice by Abraham with a balcony looking out towards the basilica and the sea.
